And a very pleasant good morning. I need to say a big “thank you” to Mother Nature for sparing us the nasty weather that was forecasted this past weekend and a “thank you” in advance for the mild weather predicted for the rest of the week.
The sun is shining and so am I.

Planning meeting
Every year, the re-enactment of the Battle of Funkstown keeps gaining momentum and numbers, thanks in a large part to John Phillips and a large number of volunteers.
With the 150th anniversary of the Civil War this year, the upcoming re-enactment should prove to be fabulous. If you would like to get involved and help with the planning, there is a meeting Wednesday, Feb. 29, at 6 p.m. at Funkstown Fire Hall.
The dates for the re-enactment and occupation of Funkstown are July 20 to 22.
It’s a great few days of living history , so why not be a part of the event?
Thanks, Mother Nature
