Registration will be held at the National Little League press box, 728 Frederick St., behind the city’s Potterfield Pool.
Registration and tryouts:
- Saturday, 10:30 a.m. — 9- and 10-year-olds
- Saturday, noon — 11- and 12-year-olds
- Sunday — 12:30 p.m. — 9- to 12-year-olds

The league is for players ages 4 to 12 based on their age as of April 30.
Bring the child’s birth certificate and three proofs of residency.
Opening day will be Saturday, April 13.

Race-A-Rama to be held at mall
Hagerstown Speedway kicks off its season with the 28th annual Race-A-Rama at Valley Mall.
The weeklong event starts today and continues through Saturday during regular mall hours.
Race cars and racing events will be featured throughout the week.
Events scheduled include pictures with race cars, national anthem tryouts, coloring contest for children, arrival of the Easter Bunny and autograph sessions with drivers.
On Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., attendees can have their picture taken in a race car.
A professional photographer will be on hand to capture the moment and the drivers will be available to autograph photos.
Donations will benefit the Humane Society of Washington County.
The photos will be taken near the Sears store.
If you have ever dreamed of singing the national anthem at a race, now is your chance. Auditions will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. near the food court in front of King’s jewelry store. All participants will sing the national anthem a cappella. Registration for the auditions will be from 5 to 6 p.m.
Those chosen will sing the national anthem at a racing event during the upcoming season at Hagerstown Speedway.
On Saturday, bring the children to visit the Easter Bunny in Center Court and participate in the Easter race car coloring/design contest from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The contest will be for age groups 2 to 4, 5 to 7, and 8 to 11. The winner in each age group will receive a $25 mall gift card.
Also on Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m., meet and greet race car drivers along with Miss Queen State Adrianna Colombo. The event will be held near the Sears store. Drivers will be available for pictures and autographs, and will do interviews.
