St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, at 1020 Maryland Ave., Hagerstown, (across from the South End Shopping Center) will hold an indoor yard sale Saturday, Aug. 11, from 7 a.m. to noon.
The yard sale will be held inside the church.
Seasonal items, kitchen items, CDs, electronics, video games, puzzles, toys and books will be available for purchase. The event will be held rain or shine.
National Night Out
National Night Out will be held at Byron Memorial Park in Williamsport on Tuesday, Aug. 7, beginning at 5 p.m.
The event is held to heighten crime and drug prevention awarenes. Displays will be set up, along with a SWAT team, helicopter landing, games for children, swimming, petting zoo and other activities. Food will be available.

Sports to play
The fall session of Sports and Events of Hagerstown will host registration for individuals and teams for the fall session, which includes youth flag football, golf leagues, adult outdoor basketball, adult dodgeball, coed adult kickball, 4-on-4 flag football and adult Wiffleball.
One-day tournaments will also be offered. Those interested in registering can do so Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Hagerstown’s Fairgrounds Park from 6 to 8 p.m.

Summer concert series
The Music by the Lake summer concert series continues Saturday with Bill Emerson and Sweet Drive at Hagerstown City Park band shell, starting at 7 p.m.
The group includes three vocalists who each contribute lead and harmony.
The Annapolis Bluegrass Coalition will perform contemporary bluegrass music at the final concert on Saturday, Aug. 4.
The concerts are sponsored by the City of Hagerstown, Washington County Arts Council and Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
You can hear the Hagerstown Municipal Band for free every Sunday at the band shell at 7:30 p.m. until Aug. 26.
