Bard Water District's former office manager is accused of embezzling more than $70,000 from the district through a period of about 5 years.

Darla Cofske pled not guilty when she was arraigned Jan. 18 at the Imperial County Jail Court.

Further proceedings are scheduled for 9 a.m. Feb. 15 in Imperial County Jail Court.
