THURSDAY
— The Jessamine County Senior Center, located at 111 Hoover Drive, is hosting Body Recall, a 10-week program of physical fitness for the senior adult that started Jan. 17, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10-11 a.m. Classes are free of charge and space is limited. — The Francis Asbury Society, located at 1580 Lexington Road, Wilmore, will host the Dennis F. Kinlaw Symposium for Theological Dialogue beginning Thursday, Feb. 9, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Dr. Daniel Strait, professor of English at Asbury University, will speak on “Prayer as Wounded Speech.” A light lunch and discussion will follow. The event is free and open to the public. — The Wilmore Senior Community Center will host movie night Feb. 9 at 6 p.m. That week’s movie will be “The Help.”
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host a introduction to the Internet class from 10 a.m. to noon.

FRIDAY
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Jump and Jive at 10:30 a.m.
— The Wilmore Senior Community Center will host “Healthy Ways to Start and End Your Day” on Feb. 10 at 1:15 p.m.
SATURDAY
— A free meal is provided by Manna Ministries each Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is a restaurant-quality meal served at 303 W. Maple St. in the community center of Nicholasville United Methodist Church. The meal is open to the public for anyone in need. Takeout meals are available after 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are always welcome and can contact the office at 859-885-4481.
— Jessamine County Republicans will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn Express, 164 Imperial Way, for a free breakfast and to discuss the upcoming elections. Donations will be accepted to help cover expenses.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host Waggin’ Tales from 1-3 p.m.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host HG Library — felted accessories at 2 p.m.
SUNDAY
— Saint Athanasius Orthodox Church, located at 926 S. Main St., offers free bread to families and individuals in need in the Nicholasville area. Saint Athanasius distributes this bread, supplied by Panera, every Sunday from 1-2 p.m. on the porch of the South Main Street location.
— The Jessamine County Public Library will host an in-door drive-in movie at 2 p.m. This month’s movie is “Turtle: The Incredible Journey.”
MONDAY
— The Jessamine County Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and welcomes people 60 years of age and older. The center has a fully equipped exercise room and a thrift shop. The seniors meet every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Activities are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bus service and a hot lunch are available on a donation basis. For more information, call 859-885-9102.
