George Brumfield: Aug. 15, 2011

George William Brumfield, 93, a native of Jessamine County,  died Monday. He was a member of  Bethel Christian Church, the Jessamine County Historical Society, was the oldest member of the Hart Lodge F&AM, as well as a breeder of Tennessee Walking Horses, former employee of the state of Kentucky, builder and a veteran of the US Army. Survivors include sister Mary Ester Lockridge, sister-in -law Barbara S. Brumfield, three nephews two neices, five great-nephews, five great-nieces. He was    preceded in death by brother Bernard R. Brumfield, brother-in-law Billy Lockridge, a nephew  and a great-neice. Services were will be Friday, Aug. 19, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Visitation is Thursday.
