A lot of Knicks fans were upset when their team didn’t resign Jeremy Lin, but a 5-year-old named Naim was crushed.  Naim’s dad put this video on YouTube where none other than Jeremy Lin saw it.

Lin did what few other mega celebrity athletes would do he arranged a Skype session with the 5-year-old. If you’ve ever tried to talk to a 5-year-old you can imagine how it went. His family kept telling Lin, 'He’s being really shy. He’s so not like this. He’s really in disbelief.'  Can you blame him? Talking to your idol can be overwhelming.

Though sometimes the love and devotion for sports stars is misguided.

While discussing the Knick's injuries Naim mentions, 'Tyson Chandler has an injury too ‘cuz he got shot.'

That's just what you don’t want to hear from an impressionable child. But considering Chandler’s injury and that Jason Kidd, Lin’s replacement on the Knicks, has already been busted for DWI, it’s easier to understand Naim’s father’s sentiment saying to Lin, 'I think you’re great and I think you’re just a great role model.'

Lin may be a great guy but if he doesn't make plays and score a few points here in Houston, it won’t matter. ‘Cuz you know what they say about nice guys, right?

Let’s hope this nice guy and his new team doesn’t finish last.
