Meet Glenn Addison. He and his wife have run the Magnolia Funeral Home for the last eight years.

“As a young man I had always thought that if I live to be old, I would like to just minister to people that were hurting in situations like this,” says Addison.

Now, Glenn feels it's the country that's dying and that's one funeral he doesn't want to participate in.

“I feel like I just can't sit back anymore and watch it continue to be degraded and destroyed by the people that are running it in Washington.”

He's got his work cut out for him competing against name-brand politicians like Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst and former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert. And with the redistricting battle still underway, no primary date has even been set yet. Still the mortician turned politician from Magnolia vows to plug on and if it doesn't work out?

“If the people reject it, I can handle that, my conscience will be clear that I’ve attempted, on behalf of my nation and my state, to turn this thing around."
