MALIBU, Calif. (KTLA) -- Francesco Quinn, the 48-year-old son of legendary actor Anthony Quinn, collapsed and died Friday in Malibu, according to reports.
Quinn was walking home from a store near his home on Rambla Vista with his son Max when he collapsed, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's.
He was taken to Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
The cause has not been determined, but Quinn was believed to have died of a heart attack.
Quinn had followed his father's steps into the film industry and was known for his roles in the movie "Platoon," and TV shows like "The Shield" and "24."
He was also a regular on the TV soap opera "The Young And The Restless."
He is survived by his wife, Valentina Castellini-Quinn, and three children.
