    As one of the many new vendors participating in Grand Central Market's current revamp, <a href="http://www.valerieconfections.com/" target="_blank"><strong>Valerie Confections</strong></a> will open Valerie, a coffee shop/lunch counter hybrid version of the L.A. bakery Friday. The shop is located at the stall formerly occupied by MF Gourmet. Cofounders Valerie Gordon and Stan Weightman Jr. will serve classic cakes plus a Brown Derby grapefruit cake, Blum's coffee crunch cake and Scandia's apple cake, a selection of pastries and $2 cups of coffee.
