  17. Happy hour at the Grateful Palate

The Grateful Palate does casual dining, but the dinner menu's deconstructed Key lime pie and Australian lamb shank don't suggest the post-work drinking atmosphere found at the 17th Street location during happy hour. From 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, excluding Wednesday, the Palate serves $5 wines by the glass and $5 flavored Ketel One drinks. The full menu is available, but the selection of $6 bar bites changes weekly. Expect dishes similar to kiwi-crab ceviche and bison sliders. From 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday, ladies drink free Bombay gin, flavored Ketel One and select wines.
