Lorenzo "Lorry" Burrows, of New York City, died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, in New York City.
He was born in Saginaw, Mich., on June 9, 1932, the son of Harry Nelson Burrows and Ann Powell Burrows. He graduated from Cranbrook School and the University of Michigan with an MBA.
He worked in New York City for many years in the banking business and then at the Museum of the City of New York until his retirement in 1997.
He was a member of St. Thomas Church Fifth Avenue where he served as an usher and tour guide.
Surviving are his brother, David Powell Burrows, of Boyne City; and his sister, Ann Joslyn Burrows, of Harbor Springs; four nieces, one nephew, two great-nieces and two great-nephews.
A memorial service took place on Tuesday, Aug. 21, at St. Thomas Church in New York City.
