Noreen Judy Moore, 65, of Pellston, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 10, 2012, at her home on Division Road, Center Township.
She was born in Petoskey on May 26, 1947, to John and Helen (Markowski) Wojan. She lived on the farm and spent all her life in Center Township, raising her horses and gardening with her husband, Paul, whom she married on Nov. 27, 1969. She graduated from Western Michigan University with a degree in education, and taught in the Pellston School District for 10 years.
She loved her horses, and always raised them with love and care.
She had been ill with cancer nearly five years, fighting a courageous battle to the end under the care of her husband, daughter and Hospice of the Straits.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; daughter, Jessica Moore and husband, Clyde Wagenschultz, Pellston; sister, Joyce Erber and her husband, Jack, of Beaver Island; and a grandson, Clay Wagenschultz. She was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Wojan, and a sister, Elaine Shumway, and her parents.
At her request, cremation has taken place at Northern Michigan Crematory, Cheboygan, and no public services are planned.
Dodson Funeral Home in St. Ignace assisted the family with arrangements.
