American racecar driver Michael Bliss was born on April 5, 1965, in Milwakie, Ore. He began racing at the age of 10. In 1993, he won his first major victory the USAC Silver National Championship. He began racing in NASCAR in 1995. He picked up five wins and won the Truck series championship in 2002. Bliss picked up his first Busch win at Lowe's Motor Speedway in 2004.
