  4. Christiansburg Blue Demons Loaded for Another Playoff Run

        The Christiansburg Blue Demons open their season Friday night at Floyd County.  Tim Cromer's team returns a boatload of talent from last year's team that went all the way to the state semifinals, including senior quarterback Brendan Motley who committed to Virginia Tech in the offseason.    Motley shined in two preseason scrimmages against Bluefield and Patrick Henry and still has an uncanny playmaking ability.    Christiansburg's schedule is tough again with the trip to Floyd and others to Carroll County, Pulaski, and Cave Spring, not to mention home dates with Giles and Franklin County.
