  7. West band takes first overall at North Laurel

    The West Jessamine marching band finished as grand champions at the North Laurel Band Classic on Sept. 17 at North Laurel High School in London, Kentucky. West competed against three Division 4A schools to win first place and best percussion in Division 4A with a final score of 63. They also competed against 11 other schools from across the state to win overall grand champion (first place), best percussion, best music, best visuals, best overall effect, and best pit crew. The West Jessamine band is under the direction of band director Michael White and field commander Jessica Walter.
