Fortini, of Fort Lauderdale, most recently won the August $150,000 guarantee event at the Isle Casino & Racing in Pompano Beach. He collected $33,327, after negotiating a 50-50 chop (actually he got $1 more).
His winning ways at the Isle go back to 2009, when as a 19-year-old he won the main event and the heads-up tournament at the Battle at the Beach. He also chopped a win in 2010.
The $330 buy-in drew 538 entrants and a prize pool of $161,400.
