An Illinois man was the big winner at the World Poker Tour Summer Splash main event at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
Michael Frazin, of Deerfield, took first prize and $130,505. Hard Rock regular Doron Malinasky took second and $75,780.
The event started back on Aug. 25, but then Tropical Storm Isaac struck. The Hard Rock pulled its $500,000 guarantee, citing the fact that the weather cut into tournament entries, and Day 1B got delayed until Tuesday.
Still, the $2,200 buy-in tournament drew 198 players and a prize pool of $421,000.
