Ryan Newman, of South Bend, Indiana, is a race car driver in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. He drives the #39 United States Army/Tornados/Haas Automation Chevrolet Impala for Stewart Haas Racing. He was Rookie of the Year for USAC Silver Crown in 1996 and for Winston Cup in 2002. He won the USAC Weld Racing Silver Crown Series in 1999, the Sprint All-Star Race XVII and Daytona 500 in 2008. In 2003 he was Driver of the Year.
