1. NBA Finals cap off Father's Day TV feast

Can't think of a better way to spend Father's Day than on the recliner watching Roger Federer win another grass title, Phil Mickelson blow another U.S. Open and Game 5 of the schizophrenic Heat-Spurs NBA Finals. As for the ABC pregame KIA NBA Countdown/...

3. Quick Take: Spurs 114, Heat 104

What went right for the Heat LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh again provided the bulk of the scoring, often helping the Heat answer San Antonio runs. Wade and James both topped the 20-point mark. But aside from a solid effort from Ray Allen, they...

7. The 'bad' Heat appear again in Game 5 loss

And so, right on cue, the other Heat appeared. The sluggish Heat. The error-prone Heat. The Heat that forget the game starts at tip-off, neglect to play defense and shrug at the Game 5 stakes in the NBA Finals.

9. Heat now facing elimination after dropping Game 5 to Spurs

SAN ANTONIO — First, it was Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra making a power move.
SAN ANTONIO — First, it was Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra making a power move. It was only fitting for San Antonio's Gregg Popovich to have the perfect counter. And why not in a series that has shifted this much. The Spurs threw the latest...

11. On fumes, title scent still there for Heat

No, Sunday's 114-104 loss to the Spurs and the ensuing 3-2 NBA Finals deficit doesn't help, but after months of battling for this moment, two home wins and there still can be a second consecutive title.
Sometimes you forget how long it's been. The preseason trip to China. The midseason pressure to pursue the NBA's all-time winning streak. The bruising and grinding against the Chicago Bulls in the second round and against the Indiana Pacers in the...

13. Spurs' Tony Parker still battling hamstring injury

Spurs guard Tony Parker would be resting if this were any point during the regular season. Instead, it is the NBA Finals. So Parker will continue to play through the pain of a sore right hamstring. He practiced Saturday and will play in Game 5 Sunday...

15. Heat seeks alternative to alternating wins and losses in NBA Finals

SAN ANTONIO — Four NBA Finals games, three blowouts, two re-energized Miami stars and one acerbic San Antonio coach. Other than that, these Finals are as hard to pin down as any, the loser continually coming back to win the next game by a double-...

17. Hyde5: Would Heat sit Wade - or Halsem? Game 4 issues

1. Keep Dwyane Wade on a short leash. This is a tough call. Wade has been so much of the Heat, has proved in the likes of Game 7 against Indiana he can still come through for them. But San Antonio went to school on that series and disrespects Wade’s...

19. Heat's Big Three have never played bigger

SAN ANTONIO – The rebound went to Chris Bosh, who passed to LeBron James, who then passed to Dwyane Wade, who was loping down the lane and dunking the last smidgeon of San Antonio hope, all of it, Thursday night.

21. Five takeaways from Heat-Spurs in Game 4 of NBA Finals

1. Stories of Dwyane Wade’s demise were greatly exaggerated. He was too old. His knee wouldn’t hold up. He had lost his edge. Stop it, already. Wade was easily the best player on the court Thursday night during the Miami Heat’s 109-93 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. He was smart. He was spry. He was prolific. Wade finished with 32 points, six rebounds, six steals and four assists, becoming the first player in the Finals to record 30 points and six steals since Isiah Thomas in 1988. Wade got to the rim with ease, showing remarkable explosiveness. Looks like there’s plenty of game left in the 31-year-old.

23. LeBron shows he knows the first step back

Let me guess: He'll be better.
Let me guess: He'll be better. "I'll be much better,'' LeBron James said. He'll solve San Antonio's defense. "I'll figure it out,'' he said. He's accountable for the Game 3 meltdown. "I take full responsibility for our team's performance,'' he...
