3. Will Sunday's Super Bowl mark the end of an era for the Ravens?

NEW ORLEANS -- The vision has consumed some of them for almost a decade. During their most painful moments as Ravens, they wondered if it would ever happen, if they would ever experience a moment that their leader has spoken of so many times.

  13. Dean Pees leads Ravens through challenging season of injuries

Dean Pees wanted to believe nothing needed to change. This was the Ravens' defense, after all, and it isn't easy to overhaul a group that has long been one of the league's best.

  17. Some random thoughts as the Ravens near touch down in New Orleans

The Ravens are scheduled to land here this afternoon. By watching the footage of the San Francisco 49ers’ arrival last night and then by attending their news conferences, I was a little surprised how nonchalant and business-like they were. It fits coach Jim Harbaugh’s desire to treat this like a normal work week. I don’t see that as a good or bad thing, mind you. I was just a little surprised that you didn’t see players walking off the plane in fancy suits with video cameras pressed to their faces. Judging by the pictures the Ravens’ players have already posted on their Twitter feeds, I think you’ll see them revel in the moment a little more.

  19. Watch the 'SNL' spoof that had Ray Lewis in tears (naturally)

Ray Lewis is an emotional guy. We've seen it week after week with his squirrel dance coming out of the tunnel or his intense behavior on the sidelines and on the field. And we saw it earlier this month when the soon-to-be-retired Baltimore linebacker...

  21. Peyton Manning calls Pro Bowl 'good, competitive.' Um, really?

Peyton Manning has built up a lot of credibility in the NFL. The four-time MVP apparently has decided to cash in some of it in an effort to ensure the league's best players continue receiving an annual expenses-paid trip to Hawaii -- a.k.a. the Pro Bowl.
