1. Preseason games will be golden opportunity for Ravens rookies

For the better part of two weeks under the hot Maryland sun, Kelechi Osemelehas physically dominated outside pass rushers, running back Bobby Rainey and wide receivers Tommy Streeter and Deonte Thompson have displayed big-play potential and Justin Tucker has been near flawless in forging an unexpected kicking competition.

  5. Ravens' news, notes and opinions after Week One of training camp

Ravens left tackle Bryant McKinnie is in town and will be at the Under Armour Performance Center today, but it’s still too early to assume that he will regain his starting left tackle spot. That is because the Ravens have to find out whether he’s healthy enough and in good enough condition to get out on the field. Remember, that was the issue with McKinnie all along before the big left tackle’s absence prompted all sorts of theories about why he didn’t report for training camp. And now, not only will he have to pass the conditioning test and show team officials that he’s in good enough shape, he’s also going to have to prove his back is healthy. McKinnie told reporters the past few days that he hurt his back in an accident at home, and that’s why he didn’t show up for the first full-team workout last week.

  7. Ravens training camp highlights: Webb comes up with a big hit

WORKING OVERTIME:To end Wednesday’s practice, head coach John Harbaugh simulated an overtime game by running through two simulations with the NFL's new overtime rules. In the first one, the starting offense stalled and No. 2 quarterback Tyrod Taylormoved his offense into position for rookie kicker Justin Tucker to make a 19-yard field goal. In the second simulation, both offenses traded possessions before Tucker nailed another game-winner, from 44 yards, for the second team. Harbaugh said he wanted his players to be prepared for the new overtime rules.

  9. Billy Cundiff: 'I feel like I've improved'

Nearly seven months removed from his missed 32-yard field-goal attempt in the closing seconds of the AFC championship game, Ravens kicker Billy Cundiff is refreshed, healthy and, by his estimation, enjoying the best training camp of his NFL career, which has spanned a decade.

  11. 11 players to watch at Ravens OTAs this week

The Ravens began organized team activities Tuesday, marking the first time this offseason that the team's rookies have been on the practice field with veterans. These workouts at the team’s facility in Owings Mills are optional for veterans, though I'm sure coach John Harbaugh hopes all of them will be in attendance. The OTAs will continue into June, setting the table for next month's mandatory minicamp.

  13. Joe Flacco's focus is on field and Ravens teammates, not contract status

Joe Flacco took a couple of steps to his right, spotted Ed Dickson about 10 yards down the field and lofted a pass between two defenders that the young tight end hauled in.

  15. Observations after first Ravens OTA viewing

The Ravens will finish up the first of three voluntary offseason team activities today, though they’ll do it outside the glare of the media. Yesterday was the one day for media availability, and while no big news came out of it, it was still good to see some action after so much attention has been placed on off-the-field stories over the past couple of months. Making any conclusions after a two-hour practice -- which did not include some of the team’s top veteran players, including running back Ray Rice, linebacker Ray Lewis and safety Ed Reed, and featured most of the players in jerseys, gym shorts and no shoulder pads -- would be foolish. However, I think it is appropriate to make a couple of observations:
