1. The topics this offseason are endless for Ravens fans

Ravens Nation, you feel better about things, don't you?
Ravens Nation, you feel better about things, don't you? The great panic is officially over. Oh, it was rough there for a while, watching the Ravens clean house and get rid of the old guys and the locker-room lawyers and the over-valued players who...

3. Let the Bryant McKinnie soap opera begin

OK, so now that the Ravens have re-signed left offensive tackle Bryant McKinnie to a two-year contract, the real drama begins.

5. Even with McKinnie signing, Ravens still trending much younger

The Ravens decision to re-sign Bryant McKinnie reverses an offseason trend that has seen the roster get younger at several key positions.

7. The Ravens are suddenly young on the offensive line

Last summer, it looked as if the Ravens might enter the regular season with one of the oldest starting offensive lines in the NFL. Matt Birk, Bryant McKinnie and Bobbie Williams were all in their mid-thirties and expected to start. But as it turned out, both McKinnie and Williams started the season on the bench and only Birk played.

11. Newsome undaunted by roster turnover, focusing on plan in place

The conversations didn’t just start in the aftermath of the Ravens’ victory in Super Bowl XLVII. They actually began four months earlier when Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome, owner Steve Bisciotti and coach John Harbaugh started to meet and plan for 2013 and beyond.

13. Ravens news, notes and opinions on Ayanbadejo, Thompson, Te'o and more

I mentioned this on my Twitter account, but I wanted to go into a little more detail here. Eight of the nine oldest Ravens – and the six oldest overall - from the team that won the Super Bowl two months ago are no longer under contract with the team. That group includes Ray Lewis (37, retired), Bobbie Williams (36, released), Matt Birk (36, retired), Brendon Ayanbadejo (36, will be released), Ed Reed (34, signed with Houston), Ma’ake Kemoeatu (34, free agent), Bryant McKinnie (33, free agent) and Anquan Boldin (32, traded to San Francisco). The only exception is cornerback Chris Johnson, the 33-year-old who re-signed with the Ravens last month. Johnson and fullback Vonta Leach (31) are currently the two oldest players on the team and the only players on the roster over the age of 30.

15. Elvis Dumervil deal is a reminder that Ravens' offseason has just begun

Would you march out of a movie theater seven minutes into the feature presentation because there weren’t enough explosions for your liking? Would you take a couple nibbles out of a grilled cheese sandwich, only to send it back to the kitchen because, for whatever reason, you were hoping it would taste more like lobster? Would you sell the big, brand-new house you just moved into because you found a leak in your basement?

17. Ed Reed agrees to a deal with the Houston Texans

The Baltimore Sun
For so long, they had been the two faces of one of the league’s most dominant defenses, Ray Lewis the punishing tackler and Ed Reed the unrelenting ball hawk. Now, they are both gone and the mass exodus from the Ravens defense continues. About...

If you’re trying to figure out exactly what motivated all-time Ravens safety Ed Reed to jump off the Super Bowl bandwagon and sign with the Houston Texans, you should probably consider some other hobby.

21. Kelechi Osemele prepared to make transition on offensive line

If he had it his way, Kelechi Osemele wouldn't be moving anywhere. The Ravens would re-sign free agent left tackle Bryant McKinnie and the offensive line, minus the retired Matt Birk, would start the 2013 season like it ended last year.

23. Ravens turn focus to next season

The usual faces were present in the auditorium at the team's practice facility Thursday but there was a constant reminder that this wasn't the typical "State of the Ravens" address.
