1. NFL draft preview: Defensive ends

NFL quarterbacks won't like this class of pass rushers, but NFL general managers will like it very much. It's a strong group, both in terms of high-end talent and in terms of depth. As many as 10 defensive ends could be taken in the first two rounds. 1....

3. Ravens news, notes and opinions on Ayanbadejo, Thompson, Te'o and more

I mentioned this on my Twitter account, but I wanted to go into a little more detail here. Eight of the nine oldest Ravens – and the six oldest overall - from the team that won the Super Bowl two months ago are no longer under contract with the team. That group includes Ray Lewis (37, retired), Bobbie Williams (36, released), Matt Birk (36, retired), Brendon Ayanbadejo (36, will be released), Ed Reed (34, signed with Houston), Ma’ake Kemoeatu (34, free agent), Bryant McKinnie (33, free agent) and Anquan Boldin (32, traded to San Francisco). The only exception is cornerback Chris Johnson, the 33-year-old who re-signed with the Ravens last month. Johnson and fullback Vonta Leach (31) are currently the two oldest players on the team and the only players on the roster over the age of 30.

Two months after winning the Super Bowl, the Ravens are in position to have a good draft and make another serious run at a championship. Even though there was a mass exodus of players in free agency, which began last month, the Ravens have made solid...

7. Are the Ravens now the Patriots of the Mid-Atlantic?

I couldn’t help but notice a couple of trends with the Ravens’ four offseason additions so far.
I couldn’t help but notice a couple of trends with the Ravens’ four offseason additions so far. First, the Ravens signed four players who were cut by other teams this past offseason. Why is that significant, other than the chips they might...

9. Ravens will have options in the pass rush after adding Elvis Dumervil

The acquisition of outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil creates questions about how the snaps will be divvied up amongst him, Terrell Suggs and Courtney Upshaw, but the Ravens' coaches will tell you that it's a good problem to have.

11. Talking Ravens with a Baltimore Sports and Life blogger

The Baltimore sports scene is blessed with a bunch of talented bloggers who bring their unique perspective to the conversation. 13. Suggs is saving the talk for the season

The new general of the Ravens defense had been quiet ever since the team won the Super Bowl in early February. Terrell Suggs was silent as top young linebackers Dannell Ellerbe and Paul Kruger signed lucrative contracts elsewhere, and the older...

15. Elvis Dumervil deal is a reminder that Ravens' offseason has just begun

Would you march out of a movie theater seven minutes into the feature presentation because there weren’t enough explosions for your liking? Would you take a couple nibbles out of a grilled cheese sandwich, only to send it back to the kitchen because, for whatever reason, you were hoping it would taste more like lobster? Would you sell the big, brand-new house you just moved into because you found a leak in your basement?

23. After Elvis Dumervil signing, Ravens fans can stop whining
