1. Ravens camp highlights: Practice gets a little heated

CAMP BATTLE?: The first official fight of training camp took place Wednesday -- the last camp practice that will be held at the Under Armour Performance Center this summer -- and it was a good one. Defensive end Arthur Jones and center Gino Gradkowski wrestled each other to the ground during one play. Jones wound up on top and both started swinging. Then offensive tackle Jah Reid was swarmed by a group of defenders, including safety Bernard Pollard, and dozens of players jumped in to either get a few shots in or attempt to play peacemaker. Once the players separated themselves, it was back to business and the practice ended without another incident.

Not too long ago, Ma’ake Kemoeatu had a knack for swallowing up opposing blockers and running backs with remarkable efficiency. But then the nose tackle was beset by injuries, sitting out two of the last three seasons.

  11. Leaner linebackers may become the new trend in the pass-focused NFL

The glare hasn’t gone anywhere. Even in training camp practices, Ray Lewis’ scowl, which has almost dared opposing teams to run his way for nearly two decades in the NFL, remains omnipresent. But the long-time face of the Ravens’ vaunted defense has a different look this summer.

  13. Taking stock of Ravens' depth chart

Nothing of true consequence has transpired yet at Ravens training camp, not even an actual preseason game -- the best litmus tests for who's worthy of inclusion on the roster.

  17. Ravens practice highlights: Sacks aplenty in Annapolis

SACKS GALORE The defense's ability to apply pressure got off to a modest start when defensive end Pernell McPhee tagged quarterback Joe Flacco. But the pass rush really ramped up during a two-minute exercise during which backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor was whistled down five times in six plays. The other play resulted in a Hail Mary from Taylor to rookie wide receiver Tommy Streeter getting deflected by strong safety Sean Considine and intercepted by inside linebacker Jameel McClain.

  23. Did Terrence Cody lose too much weight last summer?

Ravens nose tackle Terrence Cody showed good progress in his second NFL season, starting every game for the Ravens and upping his tackle total to 34 after making 13 in 2010, his rookie season. But Cody, who is entering his second year as a starter, feels that he was physically weaker last season because of weight loss.
