    Several golfers are scrambling for the lead at the midway point of the British Open today. They include Lucas Glover, Darren Clarke, Miguel Jimenez and first-round leader Thomas Bjorn. Phil Mickelson shot a 1-under 69 and will make the cut at 1-under overall, while 61-year-old Tom Watson, fueled by a hole-in-one, shot a 70 and also is expected to make the cut at 2-over for the tournament. (A replay of today's British Open action is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. on ESPN). … The IronPigs host Syracuse at 7:05 tonight at Coca-Cola Park in east Allentown (Service Electric, Blue Ridge Cable), while the Phillies begin the second half of the season on the road at the New York Mets (7 p.m., Comcast). … Lehigh Valley SportsFest continues today and through the weekend in Allentown and at other venues in the Valley. … Ohio State today released a report disclosing that former coach Jim Tressel had issues with reporting violations in a timely manner as far back as 2005. … And the NFL labor negotiations continue in New York.
