  1. Live music this week: Tune out, tune in

    Escape spring break, Ultra Music Festival and all its surrounding folly by attending a concert by the Gay Men's Chorus of South Florida and Symphony of the Americas. The groups will collaborate for shows at the Broward Center 8:15 p.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Sunday, March 24, and at the chorus' Sunshine Cathedral 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The last two are sold-out, but tickets for the Broward Center performances were available at presstime, and cost $25-$75 plus fees at BrowardCenter.org.

    If the xx&rsquo;s brand of hypnotic and soulful groove-making is best heard on a pair of headphones or privately in a dark bedroom, then the British trio that visited the sold-out Fillmore Miami Beach on Tuesday night performed a set that was anything but intimate.
