11. Trayvon Martin case reveals undercurrent of racial tension, distrust in Sanford

Old Sanford eats at the Colonial Room. The menu hasn't changed in 30 years and, despite new owners, is unlikely to change much in the future. 13. Lynyrd Skynyrd Not Dropping Confederate Flag

Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist Gary Rossington says they're not dropping the Confederate flag despite reports that they were. Gary claims he was misunderstood and that he just meant he wished people didn't use it as a symbol of hate. The confusion started in a recent interview with CNN when Gary said, "Through the years, people like the KKK and skinheads kinda kidnapped the Dixie or Rebel flag from the Southern tradition and the heritage of the soldiers . . . that's what it was about. We didn't want that to go to our fans or show the image like we agreed with any of the race stuff or any of the bad things." That statement led to talk that Lynyrd Skynyrd planned to stop using the flag completely, but that's not what he meant.

The trendy restaurant on the seventh floor of the Park Hyatt hotel offers customers a scenic view of Michigan Avenue and the Water Tower building, and in the case of Pena, who shares top billing with Jake Gyllenhaal in the upcoming film "End of Watch," a far different view from the one he was used to growing up in Chicago.
