7. Vero Pizza: A Truly Crafted Pie

I am wasteful when it comes to pizza. If it is not finished in one sitting, it goes into the trash. But that was before I tasted the Sophia pizza from the new Vero Pizza bistro in Plainville. Now my new rule is save the leftovers so I can enjoy it all.

  13. See African Penguins at The Maritime Aquarium

It's been so cold in Connecticut this winter that penguins have been spotted in South Norwalk. OK, well, they didn't swim here but were brought in by vehicle to the Maritime Aquarium. But it sure is cold out there. The penguins on display through April are African penguins, and after hanging out at the Aquarium a couple years ago, they've been brought back by popular demand. Being of African descent, they've evolved to have shorter feathers than Antarctic species since they don't have to deal with the extreme cold. They stand about two feet tall and weigh about eight pounds. They're pretty damn cute.
