  13. 'Maskulinity' dancers explore race, violence, sexuality and interpersonal relationships

    You could call it dance, or you could say it's a "contemporary movement performance project with choreography." Either way, <em>Maskulinity</em>, directed by Ras Mikey C, who's the director of education for an arts and entertainment company called F.I.V.E. (an acronym for "Fore I'm A Versatile Entertainer"), brings together dancers from New Haven, South Windsor and Ansonia, and others from Brattleboro, Vt., for an exploration of race, violence, sexuality and interpersonal relationships &mdash; through dance. It's produced by Salix Productions, whose mission is to "create collaborative performances that illustrate women's experiences while inspiring change."
