  9. Two Dead After Crash on Pa. Turnpike in Lancaster County

Two people are dead and two others injured after a single-vehicle crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lancaster County. It happened around 6 a.m. on Saturday morning in the eastbound lanes of the turnpike in East Cocalico Township.
State police say the roadways were wet when the driver, Maria Freeman, 26, of Philadelphia, lost control of her 2012 Ford Fiesta. The car swerved into the center barrier before crossing both east bound lanes of travel and slamming into the base of the Route 272 overpass, troopers said.
After the initial impact the car carrying four people rolled several times. Both Freeman and her front seat passenger, identified as 25 year-old Rielle Hill, were ejected from the vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene by the Lancaster County Coroner's office.
The back seat passengers were taken to Reading Hospital with major injuries, state police said.
The victims were all from Philadelphia.
