Trace Adkins has found himself in the middle of some controversy, after his performance on for NBC’s Christmas At Rockefeller Center special. According to The Huffington Post, Trace’s “Stars-and-Bars earpiece was clearly visible”as he performed the holiday classic, “Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire.” The symbol served as the Confederacy’s flag during the Civil War, which caused Twitter to go into frenzy. Trace has yet to comment on the matter, but in his autobiography, A Personal Stand, the singer states he is a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
