GOLDEN GODS: Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, More Perform
Metallica, Five Finger Death Punch, Stone Sour and Halestorm are among the acts performing at tonight's (Thursday's) Golden Gods Awards.The event at Club Nokia in Los Angeles will be shown live on AXS TV starting at 8 p.m. PT. Metallica will receive the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award, Rob Zombie will receive the Golden God Award and Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi will be honored with the Riff Lord Award.

BLACK SABBATH: Oz and Ends
Ozzy Osbourne has reportedly been staying clean ever since his big admission a few weeks ago -- and his daughter Kelly's wedding is a big motivator.A source tells RadarOnline, "He says he’s motivated by the fact that Sharon left him, and now he’s promised Kelly that he would walk her down the aisle only if he’s clean. Kelly even threatened that if he wasn’t coherent by the time of the wedding that she would have her brother Jack give her away."
However, those nuptials to vegan chef Matthew Mosshart have never been confirmed. Kelly told an Aussie radio station this week, "I'm not telling you guys anything. When I have a ring on my finger, then you'll know I'm engaged."
In Sabbath news, the Best Buy version of their new album, 13, will contain a bonus track, "Naïveté in Black." 13 comes out on June 11th. A deluxe version of the album will come with four bonus tracks -- “Methademic," "Peace of Mind," "Pariah" and "Naïveté in Black."
Sabbath is in Perth, Australia on Saturday.
FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH: Two Albums Are Better Than One
Following in the footsteps of Stone Sour, Five Finger Death Punch will release their new album in two parts.The first volume of the as-yet-untitled project will be released on July 23rd, with the second due out in the fall. The band will debut the first single, "Lift Me Up," live at Revolver's Golden Gods Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday. They promise that their performance will feature "a very special surprise guest."
Five Finger Death Punch will co-headline the 2013 Mayhem Festival with Rob Zombie this summer. That tour kicks off on June 29th in San Bernadino, California.
BEASTIE BOYS: Playground to Be Named After Yauch
A Brooklyn playground will be named after late Beastie Boys member Adam Yauch on Friday.A campaign to re-name a playground in the Brooklyn Heights area of the city where Yauch grew up was launched by a local blog last year. And after months of behind-the-scenes discussions, the New York Post reports that Palmetto Playground will be re-named in a ceremony that will be attended by local dignitaries and Beastie Boys' Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz and Michael "Mike D" Diamond.
Saturday will mark one year since Yauch died from throat cancer.
SUBLIME: Concert Package Due in June
The first-ever complete Sublime concert to be released on DVD and CD will be available on June 18th.3 Ring Circus: Live at the Palace October 21, 1995 will be available as a DVD, a CD and a deluxe edition with the DVD, CD and a bonus DVD called Live at the Las Palmas Theater, which was shot on February 17th, 1995. All three versions can be pre-ordered now through Sublime's website.
SLASH: Adds More Summer Shows
Slash has added more shows to his U.S. summer run with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators.The tour starts on July 5th in Naperville, Illinois and now wraps up on July 25th in Las Vegas.
PINK FLOYD: Man Tries Tries to Get Out of Medical Bill Claiming to Be Gilmour
A Minnesota man is being investigated by police after claiming to be Pink Floyd singer-guitarist David Gilmour while racking up a bill as high as $100,000 at St. Cloud Hospital.Phillip Michael Schaeffer came to St. Cloud Hospital on April 20th for treatment and gave the name David Gilmour when he checked in, according to St. Cloud police. He claimed to not have any health insurance and was treated and released. After he left, hospital employees had suspicions that he wasn’t really Gilmour. So the next day, a security supervisor pulled up the security camera shots of the man to confirm those doubts.
When Schaeffer came back to the hospital on the 24th, he claimed he had health insurance from Lloyd’s of London. He was confronted by a police officer, admitted he wasn’t Gilmour and was taken to jail.
Schaeffer was released on April 25th. Police are still gathering evidence for possible charges.
ROLLING STONES: $85 & Counting
The Rolling Stones will release more cheaper seats at each show on their 50 and Counting tour.The Stones kick things off on Friday in Los Angeles, and perhaps feeling the heat over high ticket prices, they've announced that fans will have a second opportunity to buy the $85 dollar seats, which sold out immediately when they first went on sale. Tickets will be available at this price once production at each venue is loaded in and availability can be determined. Some will be among the best seats in the house in the Tongue Pit, with others spread around the arena.
The Stones are asking that you register for the offer through their Facebook page, which you can also access through RollingStones.com. If you're among the lucky ones, you'll be notified the day of the show with sales on a first-come, first-served basis.
AEROSMITH: Hamilton Checks In
Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton has posted a note on Twitter explaining why he had to leave the band's Australian tour.He writes, "Thanks to all my fans, friends and loved ones for all the interest in what's going on with me. Had to leave the tour early due to a lung infection. I'm under the best of care and will provide more information within the next couple of days. Thanks again for all the love and support."
David Hull from The Joe Perry Project has flown to Australia to take Hamilton's place, just as he did when Hamilton missed tours in 2006 and '11 when he underwent treatment for throat cancer.
KEITH RICHARDS: And He's Still Cooler Than You'll Ever Be
Keith Richards doesn't own an iPod, preferring instead to listen to CDs or records, and “sometimes cassettes.”Keef explains, “It has much better sound, a much better sound than digital.” He says those who own all the latest digital music devices are “being shortchanged.” But he is a fan of their ease of use. “I know what these things can do. I'm not totally anti-them."
Richards and The Rolling Stones are in Los Angeles where they start their 50 and Counting tour Friday at the Staples Center.
