Juneteenth Gospel Fest at Heritage Park

There will be a Juneteenth Gospel Fest at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at Heritage Park on Washington Street. Pastor Marvin King will speak.

Those who attend should bring lawn chairs. There will be a tent for those who need shade, and vendors will have food and drinks for sale.
The event is sponsored by Win-City Productions and the Juneteenth Festival and Celebration.

Central Baptist hosts vacation Bible school

Central Baptist Church, 101 W. Lexington Ave., will host vacation Bible school June 13-17 from 8:30 a.m. to noon for children age 3 through grade five.

Homecoming concludes Sunday at Foursquare

Winchester Foursquare Church’s homecoming services started June 9 and will end Sunday.
The guest speaker is the Rev. Jim Young from Mount Airy, N.C.
Services begin at 7 p.m. tonight and at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Fish fry at Allen’s Chapel

Allen’s Chapel CME Church, Highland Street, will host fish fries Friday, June 17 and 24 and July 1 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church.
Dinners are $5.50 and sandwiches are $3.50.

Homecoming Sunday at Emmanuel Baptist

Emmanuel Baptist Church, 202 Cherry St., will host homecoming services Sunday at 11 a.m. Special singing with be provided in the early afternoon by the Fishers and Undivided.

Providence Missionary Baptist to celebrate pastor’s anniversary

Providence Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the third anniversary of Pastor George Hardaway.
Sunday school will be at 10:30 a.m.
Morning worship will be at 11:30 a.m.
The guest speaker will be associate minister Felix Ross from Bethel Baptist Church in Lexington.
Dinner will be served following the morning services, and afternoon services will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the Rev. Larry Wilson and the choir from Bethel Baptist.

Homecoming Sunday at Ephesus Baptist

Ephesus Baptist Church will host its annual homecoming celebration Sunday at 11 a.m.
A potluck dinner will be served at noon.
