Emily Estes of Winchester received a degree from Emory University during commencement ceremonies in May. She is the daughter of Deborah Kay Estes of Winchester and Greg Estes of Winchester.

Kohler completes AP institute
George Rogers Clark High School teacher Lydia Kohler was among the 502 teachers from 71 Kentucky school districts, 20 states and three countries who participated in a week-long institute at Western Kentucky University.
The institute offered 26 workshops for beginning teachers and experienced Advanced Placement teachers.
Whiteman named to dean’s list
Elizabeth Whiteman of Winchester was named to the dean’s list at the Savannah College of Art and Design for the spring 2011 semester. Whiteman is seeking a degree in photography.
