The Dodgers scored three runs in the first inning and tallied the game-winner in the sixth inning in an exciting 6-5 triumph over the Orioles in a Major League game Monday night at Lykins Park.
Austin Faris and Dalton Penticuff paced the Dodgers offense with three hits each, while Caleb May connected on a home run and laced a double.

Cade Grimes started and finished with seven strikeouts for the Dodgers.
Cahndler English had three singles and Isaiah Williams and Tyler Howard each had two hits for the Orioles.
English fanned nine batters in five innings of relief for the Orioles.
Also on Monday, the Red Sox crossed the plate with eight runs in the first inning and held on for a 10-6 victory over the Mets.
Brandon Kiniry and Demikal Knowles each had a pair of hits to lead the Red Sox. Austin Short collected five strike outs in four innings for the Red Sox.
Tucker Goff laced three singles, while Austin Cartwright and Nick Ashcraft finished with two hits each for the Mets. Ashcraft finished with seven strikeouts.

Major League
(9-10 year-old division)

The A’s scored three times in each of the first three innings in a 10-3 win over the Reds.
Josh Abrams paced the A’s offense with a pair of singles and fanned seven batters in three innings. Chase Scobee collected three strikeouts in relief of Abrams.
Dakota Puckett connected on a pair of singles to lead the Reds, who scored one run in the first, third and fifth innings.
In the other game, the Mets banged out 22 hits and came away with a 20-5 victory over the Dodgers.
Bryce Sargent and Dustin Stidham led the Mets with three hits apiece, followed by Corey Terrell, Armand Largue, Dakota Lemaster and Jerry Fugate with two hits each.
Largue and Terrell combined for seven strikeouts.
Jaylynn Johnson connected on a pair of doubles for the Dodgers and Aaron Miller collected four strikeouts in two innings on the mound.

Softball

The Cardinals scored 10 runs in the last two innings and defeated the Cubs 19-6.
