Tommy Lloyd Gillum, 76, of Winchester, husband of Doris J. Gillum, passed away July 4 at the Clark Regional Medical Center.  
A native of Jackson, he was born May 3, 1935, to the late Thomas P. and Julia A. Gillum.

He graduated from Breathitt County High School in Jackson in 1954.  
He married Doris J. Turner on April 14, 1961 in Winchester. He was a United States Army veteran during the Vietnam era. He retired from Rockwell International in 1987, he was a Kentucky Colonel, he was a home builder in central Kentucky, and a member of the Clark County Fish and Game Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed his family, and had attended the Church of Christ since his youth.  
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Crim of Winchester and Shannon L. (Richard S.) Dodd of Lexington; one son, T. Daniel Gillum of Lexington; five grandchildren, J. Cody and Kelsey A. Crim, Taylor S. Dodd, A. Blake Smithson and Rachel E. Dodd; and two great-grandchildren, Brenden and Olivia Crim; one brother, J.B. (Nancy) Gillum, of Winchester; one sister, Nancy Richardson, of Lexington; and several nieces and nephews.  
He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.  
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Rolan G. Taylor Funeral Home, 289 S. Main St., by Brother Dale Robins.  
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
Entombment will be in the Lexington Cemetery.
