— At 11:22 a.m. Tuesday, Louis Fry of Rossville, Ind. reported that a measuring pole was taken from a parked truck during the night.
— At 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Matt Anderson of 5159 Irvine Road reported that someone entered his home and took a chain saw.

Accident
— At 8:19 p.m. Oct. 2, deputies responded to an injury accident on Interstate 64 in which Norma J. Conley of Pedro, Ohio was traveling east at a slow speed. Nathan R. Hoskins of 522 Hidden Hills Way, was traveling east and approached Conley's vehicle from behind and struck it. Conley's vehicle left several feet of skid marks before she lost control and the vehicle overturned several times on the highway. The vehicle then left the highway, entered a ditch and struck an embankment. Conley was ejected from the vehicle. Hoskins stopped further down the highway. Conley was critically injured and was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries. Hoskins said he was traveling in the middle lane while passing the other vehicle when it veered into his path. Hoskins was not injured.

Charged
— Denzel O. Hill, 19, was charged Tuesday with speeding, third-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.
— Edward J. Schirmer, 51, was charged Tuesday with sale or transfer of a simulated controlled substance.
— Brooke Schirmer, 20, was charged Tuesday with sale or transfer of a simulated controlled substance.

— At 2:43 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 4 Carol Road concerning a theft of an iPhone.
— At 3:10 a.m.¿Tuesday, officers were called to 101 S. Burns Ave. after a known female broke into the caller’s apartment.
— At 9:59 a.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 100 Vaught Road concerning a theft.
— At 12:44 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 121 Buffalo Trace after a known person kicked the door in and cursed the caller.
— At 1:21 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 1500 W. Lexington Ave. after the wheels and tires were taken from a vehicle.
— At 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, officers took a report concerning stolen property being found at a pawn shop.
— At 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 151 E. Broadway concerning a theft.
— At 3:13 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 32 E. Lexington Ave. after a woman was seen stealing from vending machines.
— At 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 872 Harkins Drive concerning a stolen handgun.
— At 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, officers were called to 15 Wheeler Ave. after a purse was taken from a vehicle and two windows were broken.

— On Tuesday, emergency personnel conducted three out-of-town transfers and responded to one general medical call, one motor vehicle accident, one fall, one diabetic case, one respiratory case, one assault and two cardiac cases.

CLARK¿COUNTY¿FIRE

— At 6:45 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to Mount Sterling Road for an investigation.
— At 11:01 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters responded to a fire alarm sounding at 207 Southwind Drive.
