Many Clark County agriculture students were recognized Tuesday during the annual FFA Awards Banquet at George Rogers Clark High School.
Students receiving the chapter’s highest awards included Stefan Fink, Star in Production; Stetson Shimfessel, Star in Placement; Johnna Scott and Katelyn Fraley, Star Greenhands.
Chapter leadership awards were given to Robert Ford, freshman; Caleb Chanslor, sophomore; Mallory Flynn, junior; and Stefan Fink, senior.
Scholastic awards were presented to Lydia Gapp, freshman; Hannah Power, sophomore; Kata Welsh, junior; and Haleigh Flynn, senior.
Stefan Fink was awarded the John C. Hendricks Alumni Scholarship award. Colbi Howard and Haley Flannery received the Graham Family Scholarship, and Laurren Strange received the Mike Wilson Scholarship.
Other awards presented were Sheep Impromptu, Stefan Fink; Small Animal Impromptu, Kendall Bowman; Swine Impromptu, Paige Taylor; Turf/Lawn Impromptu, Zach White; Dairy Impromptu, Lilly Shear; Floral Impromptu, Allison Ratliff; Fruit and Vegetable Impromptu, Caleb Chanslor; Greenhouse Impromptu, Mallory Flynn; Horse Impromptu, Katelyn Fraley; Nursery/Landscape Impromptu, Haley Flannery; Poultry Impromptu, Alissa Miley; Beef Impromptu, Travis Drumm; and Crop Impromptu, Garry Allen Taylor.
Other winners were Creed Speaking, Johnna Scott; FFA Quiz, Johnna Scott; AIC, Haleigh Flynn; Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Kata Welsh; Sheep Entrepreneurship, Stefan Fink; Vet Science, Kendall Bowman; Beef Cattle Production, Stetson Shimfessel and Seed ID, Kendall Bowman.

Retiring FFA officers recognized were Stefan Fink, president; Travis Drumm, vice-president; Colbi Howard, secretary; Haley Flannery, treasurer; Allison Ratliff, reporter; Laurren Strange, sentinel; and Sierra Ford, chaplain.
New officers installed were Allison Ratliff, president; Caleb Chanslor, vice-president; Kayla Banks, secretary, Travis Drumm, treasurer; Hanna Power, reporter; Cassidy Potts, sentinel; and Kendal Bowman, chaplain.
Students earning Greenhand degrees were Travis Ashcraft, Samantha Blakeman, John Bradley, Caleb Brown, Brooke Cantrell, Wade Crowe, Robert Ford, Katelyn Fraley, Lydia Gapp, Taylor Howard, Lauren Jordan, Gabby Miller, Cassidy Potts, Cara Raney, Zack Rogers, Johnna Scott, Colton Shimfessel, Hagan Shultz, Kade Sidwell, Troy Spencer, Garry Allen Taylor, Paige Taylor, Mark Thomas, Jake Vaughn and Olivia White.
Chapter degree recipients recognized were Caitlyn Bush, Kendal Bowman, Caleb Chanslor, Cooper Fallen, Ashley Fraley, Kylie Garrett, Blair Hunter, Kaleb Maggard, Kline Palmer, Hanna Power, Andrew Ratliff, Trevor Robinson, Hunter Thomas and Jacob Watts.
Recognized as State Degree recipients were Taylor Davidson, Stefan Fink, Colbi Howard and Stetson Shimfessel. Fink and Shimfessel have been selected as Regional Stars.
FFA advisers are Katy Midden, Jimmy Powell and Shane Wiseman.
