Eli Lilly broke a record Monday, giving a whopping $12.4 million to the United Way.
Lilly said it's the single largest gift in the company's history.
The donation comes from contributions from U.S. employees and retirees in addition to a matching donation from the Lilly Foundation.
The company exceeded last year’s donation amount by $100,000.
