Pike keeps pace with blowout win over Bloomington South

INDIANAPOLIS - With two weeks to go, the Conference Indiana title is now a race between two teams-though many already have cut that in half.

Outscoring their opponents by 36 points a game, Lawrence Central appears ready to run the table in the conference especiallly after beating second-place Southport 46-7 on Friday.

But Pike continues to keep the Bears in sight as the season winds down, staying a game behind in Conference Indiana with a dominant 56-0 win over Bloomington South at home Friday.

The Red Devils made it no contest in the first half by putting up 35 first-half points to put the Panthers out of reach. Ja'Juan Self and Dominique Booth each contributed touchdowns in the second quarter to aid the romp.

With a loss already to Lawrence Central, 5-2 Pike will need the Bears to lose at least one game to get a tie for the Conference Indiana title. The Red Devils face Perry Meridian at home next Friday then travel to Franklin Central to finish out the season.

Bloomington South (1-6) will be at home to face Columbus North next Friday.
