Two injured after car, utility truck collide head-on in Noblesville

A Duke Energy truck and a car collided head-on Wednesday morning in Noblesville, leaving two people injured.

A utility truck and a car collided head-on Wednesday morning in Noblesville, leaving two people injured.

Investigators said it happened just after 8:30 a.m. on Indiana 19 near Forest Park. According to the Noblesville Police Department, the passenger vehicle was going northbound and the truck was headed southbound.

The driver--22-year-old Chelsey A. Kennett of Anderson--went to Methodist Hospital at IU Health. The passenger--22-year-old Joshua McFarland of Anderson--was extricated from the vehicle and taken by air ambulance to the hospital. Both the driver and passenger were conscious and alert, police said. Their injuries appeared to be non-life-threatening.

The driver of the utility truck--42-year-old Scott N. Carey of Noblesville--was treated and released.

Police are working to find out why one of the vehicles crossed the center line. It’s unclear what caused the accident.
