( MARY MURPHY / WPIX-TV / September 9, 2012 ) Serena Williams falls to the ground, jumps for joy, kisses her mom, gives a "high five" to supporters, and then lifts her 4th US Open trophy in delight--after defeating Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in women's tennis final at Flushing-Meadows. The score was 6-2, 2-6, 7-5. Azarenka was ahead 5-3 in third set and then failed to convert her lead into victory. |
