If you're looking for "Smallville," check the DVD aisle at your local Target. "Arrow" refuses to stand on the shoulders of the show that came before it, choosing instead to fearlessly toss out previous rulebooks and forge its own path. Stephen Amell is the star that The CW has been looking for since its inception. Done right, this is the show -- and he is the man -- who could pull the network away from its teeny-bopper-vampire reputation and demonstrate that there's real clout, worthy talent, and truly remarkable storytelling behind the glitzy facade.
