Blade is a vampire hunter in the Marvel Comics universe, introduced in the "Tomb of Dracula" series. He went on to get his own comic series, animated series and movie series - played in the movies by Wesley Snipes. Due to an enzyme in his blood caused by his mother getting bitten by a vampire while giving birth to him, Blade is immune to the bites of regular vampires. He is bitten by a scientifically-created vampire and from that gains superhuman stamina, speed, strength, agility and heightened senses
